🍁November Events in Kyoto🍁

As the autumn leaves transform the mountains surrounding Kyoto, making them appear as if they’re ablaze with brilliant fire, November is perhaps one of the best times to experience the city’s seasonal beauty.🍁

In this blog post, I’ve gathered a list of events happening around Kyoto throughout November, complete with links to event pages. I’ll be updating it as I discover more, so check back often! If you know of any events I might have missed, please feel free to share them in the comments below.

Matsuri (Festivals)

  • November 2-3: Kyogen Masked Performance at Shinsenen (Time: 13:00 - 17:30). No reservation required.

  • November 3: Aki Matsuri (Fall Festival) at Tanukidani-san Fudō-in Temple.

  • November 9: Yugiri Sai (夕霧祭) - Procession of Tayu, highest ranked courtesan, at Seiryoji (清凉寺) (Time: Starts at 10:00).
